Welcome to my blog and thank you for visiting this page. My name is Blythe Summers.
This is a blog where I share my thoughts and creations. At the heart of my work is a desire to be in relationship with all aspects of the natural world. I seek the spiritual place between science and story. I am a drawn to liminal space and time: twilight, dappled shade, seashores, the forest’s edge, the hedgerow, passage ways, and anything hidden.
I love talking with others, as well as reading, writing, painting, crafting, cooking and sometimes just thinking. My home is in the tree-filled Pacific Northwest, on unceded Puyallup land, near the Salish Sea, with Mount Tahoma in the distance.
Guidelines for myself:
- Do my best to communicate from a place of kindness and love
- Speak for myself and not for others/society
- Give credit and gratitude wherever possible
- Do not tolerate hateful or oppressive communication on this site from myself or others
- Fix my mistakes when I learn of them.
